Please read this statement. It provides information and answers to many of the question you may have about me, the services I provide and how I go about my business.
Introduction
As an independent advisor TaylorMade Mortgages Limited has legal, professional and ethical obligations to you.
Some of the legislation that governs how I provide services to my clients is as follows:

· The Fair Trading Act
· The Securities Act
· The Privacy Act
· The Human Rights Act
The overall objective of these regulations is to provide you with rights that ensure:
· That a comprehensive process applies to the services that I offer to establish if you require my services. This means that I am required to discuss with you your current situation and your desired situation so that we both have the same understanding of your requirements
· That any recommendation I make at your request will be set out in a format that fully explains the reasons why a product was recommended and how your requirements are being met.
· That I am required to act in a totally professional manner in all my dealings with you and with the information that you provide to me.
· If you feel at any time that your requirements have not been handled satisfactorily, you have recourse through a number of complaint processes.

My Background
My work history has always revolved around roles in client service and significantly prior to establishing my own Mortgage Broking business for many years I managed an Insurance practice. This gave me great insight into the intimate needs of an extensive client base and reinforced my passion for superior client service.
It was a natural progression to use the many business skills I had developed looking after someone else’s business to establish my own successful business in the financial sector.
My company has alliances with many leading lenders which means that I can offer you as a client the opportunity to acquire the best finance package to suit your needs.

I have undertaken relevant study in the financial and legal aspects of Mortgage Broking and in order to keep pace with the changing environment will continue to update my skills in these areas by partaking in appropriate training courses.
How Do I Operate?
With your permission, the process I prefer to follow is to meet with you and discuss your needs and aspirations. I then outline where my areas of expertise can assist. During this discussion I like to take notes. These notes assist me to prepare recommendations that are relevant and specific to you.
Expectations and Outcomes
This first meeting may identify areas of action for both you and me to undertake. Our discussion and action items will be summarised in written form to you as soon as is practicable.
How I am Remunerated
TaylorMade Mortgages Limited receives remuneration in the form of commissions and benefits. The rate and form of commission varies from product to product. The benefits may include accommodation travel and consumer goods. Bonuses may also be paid on top of commissions depending on the total amount of business placed in any one calendar year.
As a professional adviser I charge a flat fee for each mortgage I advise on and place with a lender. This fee is charged for my professional service and is calculated on a cost recovery basis. If the loan is proceeded with to settlement and remains in place for more than 12 months this fee will be waived.
From time to time agreements may be in place with other professionals referred to you as a client, whereby financial consideration is given to TaylorMade Mortgages Limited if the referral should result in a sale.
Any services of another professional, whether there is financial consideration given or not, is referred strictly on the basis of what is best for the client and their relative situation. Financial consideration in no way influences the primary role of satisfying your needs as a client.
You are entitled to request more detailed information regarding the remuneration I may receive in relation to advise I give to you about a particular product.
Money Handling Procedures
All monies are payable directly to the lending institution or insurance provider. Any monies received by me are transmitted directly to the lending institution or insurance provider and are unable to be used by me for any other purpose.
Professional Indemnity Insurance
As an independent advise and for your protection I am covered for up to $1Million of professional indemnity insurance.
Ongoing Service
I am committed to providing regular comprehensive service to clients. I see this as an essential part of a successful relationship.
As part of this service from time to time I will endeavor to keep you updated with changes in the financial industry via mail or electronic communication. If you do not wish to receive ongoing communications please advise as such and your name will be removed from my regular mailing list.
